Michael smiled at Azreal. “Do you know what your problem is, Overlord?”

“I’m sure you are about to tell me,” the Demon Lord said.

“You think you can just walk around, doing what you want, and there will be no repercussions,” the einherijar explained as he backed toward the bridge, keeping the Thunder Stone pointed at Azreal. He stopped when he had both feet on the stone bridge. “Now, I know you’re fast, but are you faster than a bolt of lightning?”

Michael slammed the point of the Thunder Stone into the ground. In a perfect circle around Leiptrfell, lightning fell and spread outward, engulfing everything in the destructive wake. Azreal crushed a small metal ball in his hand and vanished between two flashes of lightning. Michael stood. As soon as the stone broke contact with the ground, the pounding lightning stopped.

<We’re safe,> Michael said. <He’s gone.> The sky cleared, and the howling winds and rain stopped. <Regroup at the southern bridge. Let’s head back to camp.>
